The Tea Party is a political movement. They hold rallies and marches and throw their support behind certain candidates. They oppose expansion of certain government programs (e.g., Obamacare), but preservation of others (e.g., their Medicare). They tend to oppose government control and monitoring (e.g., the NSA, and FBI and IRS meddling).
That's not violent rebellion. That's politics, even if you don't agree with it.
If the Tea Party qualifies as insurrectionists, then so does MoveOn and other left wing outfits.
And "states rights" people? What does that mean? Perhaps you are referring to people in Colorado who voted to legalize marijuana in opposition to federal policies? Are they "white insurrectionists"? What about people who want to get rid of the Department of Education and let primary education remain under state control? Are they "white insurrectionists"?
Like I said, lemme know when you see a "white insurrectionist". He or she will be shooting at federal agents or troops. Should be easy to spot. Especially at a Tea Party rally full of blue-haired seniors.
