I've seen it done most often whenever pronouncing someone's name wrong supposedly deflects from the fact that the argument that person is bringing to the table doesn't have enough merit to stand on its own legs, so they either mispronounce or even make up a similar name to the subject, like Pussolini or some such juvenile drivel. People who do this usually don't have the mental capacity to formulate a valid and reasonable counter argument. Have a nice day.
