This from the same guy that was predicting a Romney landslide win and quoting "unskewed" polls to back it up.
Forgive me if I don't find your predictions credible. Originally Posted by markroxny

Again I say, Oh ye of little faith.

We will have to cut deals with our creditors. The terms they dictate to us will be a bitter pill. It will be very ugly for most Americans !We'll see how it all shakes out, but inflating it away is the only real answer. That's going to hurt.
We will end up negotiating away our country, sovereignty, and likely most of our national wealth. Our creditors, many who despise us, will not be lenient. They will not treat us as we treated Argentina, Mexico, or Russia when we bailed them out. Originally Posted by Whirlaway

Just exactly what do you have faith in....magic? Numbers don't lie. I'm sure the Greeks thought the party would never end. They were wrong and so are you. Originally Posted by joe bloe

Why any economist (with a heart) would think hyper inflation is a good thing is beyond me. Originally Posted by Whirlaway

If you think Obama and the Congress are going to get spending and taxing under control, what makes you think that? We've heard that since Reagan, and before. There was a brief period under Clinton where it looked like we might get on track, but that was primarily due to the dotcom boom, and the President's willingness to work with Congress. That atmosphere no longer exists.
As a landlord I love inflation; especially in Texas.I don't think the landlords liked inflation in the Weimer Republic and Zimbabwe. Carter era inflation is tolerable for a couple years but not the kind of inflation that comes when the currency collapses.
