why do people not review?
The reasons I quit writing reviews (none here, stopped at 13 on the old board):
1. A well known provider asked me (English second language situation) if I wrote reviews. When I said "yes" she immediately offered BBFS (which I declined) as she had been told by another ASPD reviewer that it takes that to ensure a good review. The idea of reviews being abused like this turned me completely off to the system.
2. I only ever see providers with loads, and loads of reviews, so really, what's the point?
3. After the downturn in the economy and my libido, I don't do over one or two sessions a year any more anyway.
I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons, but those are mine.
I wrote one review. Everyone thought it was fake. So I stopped writing reviews.
Here is my own list of top reasons as to why I review. Now, keep in mind that #1 is the main reason, but I asked myself under what circumstances would I write a review if I didn't "have to", which is how I came up with 2-5:
1. PA credit.
2. To give guys intel on a new girl.
3. Because I'm asked.
4. Because the girl offered a special for reviews (I've only been offered a free session once, and I declined...less out of principle and more because I wasn't interested in the woman).
5. A "no" recommendation. That has happened just a handful of times in my hobby career.
I don't lie. I try to be both honest and diplomatic (unless the woman is just awful, then screw diplomacy). I don't make up activities that didn't happen. I see no point in any of that, since review credit isn't based on how badass I come across. I've never understood the guys that felt the need to do otherwise.

Thanks. Unfortunately, my best work was lost with aspd.
If you don't want reviews, don't advertise on a review site. Seems pretty simple.
I agree with TexasDave, TinMan, as usual, others, and even MissPriss. Guess this topic applies to me, so:
1. We all have needs, and we all are willing to take risks to meet them. And we all represent many types, and all stripes. But I don't like risk. I like risk assessment. I like risk management. I like risk prevention, which is usually an illusion. I'm a low-volume guy.
2. A gentleman doesn't tell. And the details Will vary from person to person, otherwise we wouldn't have the phrase "ymmv," so what's really the point?
3. I always assumed for every 1 guy reading my ROS, because he thought the details would help him make an informed decision of interest, (ASPD - yeah I was there. And btw, I was in H-town when the aforementioned sting went down.), there were 10 just wanting to read and spank. That piggy-spanking does nothing for me. So, to that 1 in 10, I apologize for not reviewing for you.
4. Most of the info I'm interested in is on the basic review, especially that last one that has "yes" or "no" typed in it.
5. I wouldn't want to give anyone an inferiority complex with all my awesome technique, stamina, and curling women's toes, ad nauseum.
6. Number 5 is a joke. Hahaha.
For what it's worth, I try to contribute in other ways here. But for now, it is what it is. If something really noteworthy happens, I'll review it.

My theory is that people who don't post reviews are basically asocial types who are more comfortable keeping certain things to themselves than sharing them with others. Heck, I've heard that guys of this sort sometimes even have to PAY FOR SEX.
All of these reviews need to mention all taint and tainted activities or they should not earn PA.
I only write reviews for Premium Access credit, and I only review AMP girls with a small number reviews, never Indys. ECCIE is purely a resource for me. I'm not looking to get pats on the back for writing jack-off material. My goal is to include enough info for someone else to make an informed decision. I find a lot of the reviews pretty ridiculous with things like, "She sat on my dick and O'ed". To me, review titles with corny-ass puns like: "I'm CooCoo for Coco's Tits" or "D'oh! Lisa does it again", are guys writing for the approval others. It becomes more about someone feeding their ego than providing useful info.
Aww Misspriss, turn that frown upside down.
Wasn't meant to sound bad babe. I meant even you, who are not a hobbyist who might review.
We cool?
I just have to chime in. How many of the posters on this thread have said they don't write reviews; they just come to ECCIE for information. Well, duh!! If nobody writes reviews, how much information would there be? Siimple facts, folks. If you don't want to write reviews, don't be the guy with zero or 1 review that posts the thread asking for "the top 10 ... in DFW" or "availability in ... area" or "best kisser", etc. Or do you just believe what the providers post in their ads?
As a footnote, just read a bunch of reviews. How do you know the degree of GFE if there aren't reviews, and if you don't write reviews, who will?
