I have a friend with a warehouse where streetwalkers are and they are still around even with smartphones.
I've always said to friends that I do not have the guts to be a streetwalker. With no screening/verification, possibly having to deal with pimps, or not having a safe call - it would be scary.
I personally don't care what name is used on me: hooker, provider, courtesan, whore, escort, prostitute, call girl, or any other name for "ladies of the night". I don't put value (bad or good) on any of those names. Hell, I was called some of those names way before I even thought of doing this.
