yes earlier this year I noticed that the friend? of a very well known provider on this board "hung out her shingle" asking $300/hr. about 2 weeks later she was MIA. so it was either a false start or she perhaps didnt anticipate all the factors to... staying in business?
its just not as easy as you would think
anyone who has been on this board for a while and those who posted on the old ASPD know this town HAS a ton of competition among providers(its friendly competition mostly judging from some of the posting in here yet competition none the less. (just click "browse showcases" and choose Houston and you'll see how many providers currently advertize in this city). nevermind how much "hobbyist" dollars there are in this town(its HUGE $$$ when you consider how many regulars visit their ATF on a weekly basis)yet still, there are SO MANY TO CHOOSE from
its probably easier to start up/go into) the insurance business and we all know how competitive that is
