i enjoy the hobby community. i enjoy the hobby. i regret the lack of civility which seems all too evident in this forum. i feel the hobby community benefits from having a large, diverse membership. i'm disappointed when individuals and even groups of members are criticized because of personal bias as opposed to offending actions.

Let's save time and summarize the typical NBA (No Blacks Allowed) thread.

Here's the reasons that have been proposed for this. Note, these are not MY opinions, just a list of what will be brought up in every long NBA discussion.

• Some women don't like black men, period.
• Some think there is a higher percentage of problem clients among black men.
• Some think there are a lot more pimps among black men.
• They have had a bad experience with one or more black men and simply can't handle it emotionally.
• Some think there is a higher percentage of STDs among black men.
• Some ladies think NBA ads will get them more business because it will make some guys think they're higher class. Some guys won't see a woman who sees black men.
• Some think black men are more well hung or have more sexual endurance and don't want to get worn out.
• Sometimes the pimp who's really controlling things believes one of the above things.
• It's been suggested many of the NBA women have a black pimp who has emotional problems with his woman seeing other black men.

Here are the stereotypical replies:

• Claiming this is simple racism on the part of the ladies.
• Claiming there is some basis in fact for some of the stated reasons.
• Denying that that a particular reason is valid.
• Berating the ladies for doing it.
• Saying you'll never see an NBA lady.
• Pointing out that it's better if the lady admits it in her ads rather than letting the guy show up and turning him away or giving him poor service.

I'm somewhat curious about the OP's opinions on the comments shared thus far. Maybe this was just a question about NBA/ No AA policies. Though, that was never explicitly mentioned in his initial post...

With that being said some of the women who advertise not seeing blacks actually do see black men. A few times (very few) I reached out to some ladies I was really interested in seeing who have NBA policies and they did agree to see me. Originally Posted by rayg07

You bring up a valid point. Perception is not always reality. People's perception can be changed by reality. There are Black Ladies I would gladly see that have the traits I find attractive. There are White Ladies I would never see because they have the traits I find repulsive. We all have our preferences. Perhaps these "Few Ladies" had their perceptions changed by your reality.

I have always found it humorous when I read an ad posted by a Black Lady that reads somewhere in the content, "I love White Men". Why would you need to say that? Does that mean all other Black Ladies hate White Men? Is that supposed to somehow put me at ease for some reason? There is ignorance on all sides of this argument.
