What's Your Favorite Steakhouse??
Hands down - Pappas Bros. Steakhouse.
Costs the earth, maybe $125 per person with a couple drinks, but so damn worth it.
Bone in Ribeye, hard to beat, but any of the dry aged beef is awesome as well.
Short drive up to Ponder TX (on 156 close to Denton) Ranchman's has won the vote from everyone I've taken. Been there forever. Dave lets the cows chill in his cooler for six weeks, then cuts them up. Excellent. Bring your own wine or beer, this is a country place.
Great food at Nick and Sams but would steer clear of the lean filet in favor of more flavor like the cowboy rib-eye. Love the pre-ordered cakes too. The red velvet cake is a great finish.
Bob's in Grapevine, and the Tomahawk is the best steak I have ever eaten!
And for old times sake ... grew up going to Hoffbrau on Knox-Henderson, and always enjoyed their ribeye, and garlic butter sauce.
Pretty suprised Chamberlins has not rated on this.. I have done the III Forks (wont go back)
Keg - Avergage
Silver Fox - Overpriced and sucked
Ruth Chris - Ok but I didnt care for the overall experience
YO Have not been to
Bobs (Lemmon Ave) went to the first time a bit ago and WILL be back
PappaBros - Have not yet been to
Mortons - Good but overpriced
Several others I have been to in the local area. I generally try one or two "good" places a year just to get a new experience. Top choices so far are Bobs and Chaimberlins
Cost wise the keg is pretty good as well

First off Restuarant week is coming up and if there something that looks good and the menu looks good (for Restuarant Week) go give it a try.
Trulucks is a great place and not many know that they make a great steak.
Perry's steakhouse and Perry's Place are both great (not related). Perry's Steakhouse has an unreal porkchop if you like porkchops.
Eddie V's food is good but service sucks!!
III Forks, Sullivans, Del's, Nick & Sam's are all very good.
Chamberlains is also excellent.
Kenny's in Addison has a good steak.
I stay away from Bob's due to Bob (ASSHOLE).
So many great places here.

Steve,
YO is another very good one.
Forgot to add.
Great choice on Chamberlains and especially when they have the last minute specials that they email out.
Best steak i ever had was at Pappadeaux's.
Bob's stake house Does it for me yummy
III Forks and Bobs downtown. I have not been to Pappa Bro. But hear that is really good. I rally lime Fogo and Rafain. Both are excellent. Ruth Cris is Ok. Del Friscos excellent but can get loud. I miss Mortons. Used to be on Midway. They had great quality. Palm is overrated has anyone been to Al Bernats? Heard that is really good
My 2 cents:
1. Papa's Brothers
2. Perry's
3. Bob's
4. III Forks
5. Kirbys
hope that helps!
My faves:
Pappas Bros
Nick & Sams
Capital Grille
Bobs
Chamberlains
Honorable Mention
Perry's Steakhouse (Never been to the Uptown one, but if it's anything like the ones I've been to in Houston, then it is terrific place for a steak).
When I am in the mood for steaks but not paying out the ass.
Perry's Place (Only for lunch. Their lunch menu is really reasonable, 10-15 bucks. Not related to Perry's Steakhouse. Dinner is pricey.)
Dunstons
Texas Roadhouse (not bad for a mainstream chain)

I miss Mortons. Used to be on Midway. They had great quality.
The location in Uptown is really great. Moreso than the food, Mortons IMO makes it on service. But the steaks are damn good too.
I took a lovely lady to III Forks on Friday night, the steak was not cooked to order, way too rare, the ahi tuna was dry and the waitress forgot the salads. I wont go back, too much hype there and was not pleased at all.
My house, when I cook over pecan and charcoal.
The bartender rocks, too.
