Some of these guys (most but not ALL) are scammers themselves. What I mean is, scanning true providers out of time and verification pics, endless Q&A’s, just to become a NCNS or someone who conveniently has something come up last minute. And it seems that most of those encounters are the guys who offer 4 digits to start lol It’s become a red flag for BS’ers. Although there are some guys on this thread who have stated that paying a deposit was good and they had a fabulous time with said provider, for the most part, paying a deposit is going to be bad news. And, there is a lot of proof to back that up.
Yes, the hobby has costs associated with it, and that is both sides of the fence, but as has been said numerous times in the past, it is the cost of doing business. I know everyone would like have guarantees (ladies want to guarantee that they're going to get their money and guys are wanting a guarantee that they are going to get the fantastic service they pay for), but there is no such thing in this hobby.
In all honesty, if a provider does not have enough initial money to travel, get a hotel room, ect. ( which is totally absurd if you think about it), then she need not travel. I saw one lady say that guys need to screen ladies who have a social media presence and what not to determine whether or not they should be ok to pay a deposit to them. Turning the tables, one example would be a hobbyist who has p411 with a lot of okays, which pretty much guarantees if he sets an appointment, he is going to show up, need not pay a deposit. Ladies, you too need to screen potential clients better so as not to get burned, just like you tell clients to do.

I also require a deposit for new comers I feel as if it’s more so of a safety thing when I give options like ( “member” pic or a deposit.) which I feel is reasonable because the photo costs nothing….
