FREE PALESTINE

Sir, I reiterate that it's obvious that the main hater in this thread is you, TAE.

Your statement about everyone in Palestine living together in a single, secular and pluralistic country could happen, of course, if the 1) Palestine is granted statehood and 2) If they allow their people to live in freedom and under secular rule.

I am not opposed to the creation of a Palestinian state. I am opposed to Hamas.

Sup, isn't a gentleman supposed to at least acknowledge an apology? I also believe that you owe me one... I thought I was the main ass in this thread. TAE is admittedly the smarter one, and his last post was spot on. Also, glad to hear you are not opposed to Palestinian state.

I'm sorry, man, thanks for acknowledging you were wrong on this one.

I haven't spent my day pondering this issue, so please forgive me for not accepting your apology.

Now the least you could do is say you're welcome for my thank you after your I'm sorry.

NOW EXACTLY WHAT DO I OWE YOU AN APOLOGY FOR?

And while I didn't call you the main ass in this thread, once again, you've deemed fit to hurl more insults my way.

Howzabout coming up with something more substantive and less combative?

You are welcome. I wanted an apology for you voting TAE the biggest ass in this thread. It was the position I aspired to. And I didn't insult you. I was inferring that TAE was smarter (more succinct) than myself, not you.

Hamas is the dominant movement by default because the PLO has sold out to the US in exchange for their leaders being given US-provided Swiss bank accounts.

Hamas is today what the PLO was in the 1970s - an expression of the desperation and rage of people made hopeless.*

Didn't the UN offer the displaced Eurpoean Jews a state in Africa? Nigeria? Uganda? It was one of them.

Guess they could do that again, for the Palestinians, right?

Many of the refugees expected coming back and dividing up the spoils.

Oops! Backed the wrong team.

The Saudis could give a piece of land to the Palestinians.

Do you think the Palestinians had/have that "homes taken, businesses taken, every possession they had taken, hunted down, rounded up, women and children killed and men worked until they died or were killed to a tune of 6 million people" rage?

The Israelis won because of one of the big reasons the allies succeeded on D-Day. They had no place else to go and it was a long swim back to England.

Munch is right, they could have accepted the mandate and stayed to defend their turf. Screw em, they created their own problem and continue to perpetuate it by their actions.

I don't think continuing this conversation will change the state of affairs in Palestine or the entire middle east. I think we need to let some sort of supernatural power take care of it.
