In a couple of days I will see the breakdown of the hospital amount and see what is included and what is billed separately.

Oh and another surprising thing ..... I am a smoker so I asked for nicotine patches. They gave me the choice to have disposable electronic cigarettes.
So that's what I'm smoking now at home too. Perfect. Originally Posted by waverunner234

And without the smell, the burn holes in your clothing and the carpet. I've used them on airplanes and other places were smoking is prohibited.
I've also used them when I was with non-smoking providers. No bad taste when kissing!.
It doesn't harm your lungs like cigarettes do. But of course the nicotine is not good for you either.
Anyway, it is much safer than cigarettes, and imo an easy way to finally quit smoking forever!

AND MOST IMPORTANT, IT IS NOT A TURNOFF FOR OTHER PEOPLE AROUND YOU.
Here's a data point on why medical costs are so high:

http://houston.cbslocal.com/2011/10/...ack-to-mexico/

Notice that the guy had and has NO insurance, he was and is in the country illegally, he apparently intends to remain in the country, illegally.

Notice also that nothing is said about any actions against his employer, either for employing illegals or for the workplace accident.

Instead, the hospital is expected AND REQUIRED BY LAW to eat the entire cost of his care.

How can it be illegal to obey the law? We are living in a bizarro world.
