A shooter opened fire at a Border Patrol facility in McAllen, Texas, on "Monday morning, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said.

Border Patrol agents and local police helped "neutralize" the shooter, according to the spokesperson. Border Patrol's Rio Grande Valley Sector, which has six stations along the border, reported that the person is dead."

I don't know who the Network Contagion Research Institute is (goofy name though) but their survey results are much different than your unsubstantiated claims.

I think this study reveals more about the effect of anonymous internet activity than anything else. Which is the mission of the NCRI in the first place. It should also tell you something about the motivations of the OP and this thread.

I'd venture that right leaning voters express similar feelings around violence, probably more from the Trump extremists. Completely unacceptable as well and violent incidents should be called out by every R without fail, in or out of office.
There have been at least three incidents of ICE members being fired on in the last week to 10 days and I haven't heard any full throated denouncements from the likes of Pelosi, AOC, Jeffries, Schumer. Maybe they're not being quoted in the articles I read?
Ultimately though, my issue with Rooster's position is that his claim is Dems aren't/don't approve of violence so to point out left wing violence is divisive and alarmist. That it's divisive is nonsense and if it's alarmist then 91% of folks are alarmed.

Noem, in a statement and photos, identified Rose City Antifa, “Rose City Counter-Info,” and “The Crustian Daily,” as groups that have published names, photos and personal addresses of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers on their websites or put up fliers in the officers’ neighborhoods. In one case, trash was dumped on the front lawn of an officer’s property, but the location was not disclosed.

“We will prosecute those who dox ICE agents to the fullest extent of the law. These criminals are taking the side of vicious cartels and human traffickers,” Noem said in the statement. “We won’t allow it in America.”

The Crustian Daily publishes what it calls an “ICE LIST,” that starts, “Real Police Don’t Need Masks,” and says its done to hold ICE members accountable, publishing the names, faces and roles of ICE officers, but says it does not publish their home addresses.

The other two groups did not respond immediately to messages seeking comment.

Federal affidavits in the last two months have redacted the names of federal officers involved in the arrests of demonstrators outside the ICE building off South Macadam Avenue, which has become the focal point of protests against President’s Trump immigration crackdown.

Pretty sure that there's no uniform for ICE field agents so civvy clothes shouldn't be an issue either. Regardless, there are all sorts of plain clothed law enforcement at every level.

Rooster, pay attention! That's two posters in this thread now who've justified violence against ICE officers.

I don't really agree that they are promoting violence against ICE. I am not comfortable with the DOXing thing for sure. But I am also VERY uncomfortable with ICE using masks. I think the main reason they do it is the intimidation factor. And no other large LE organization does this.

This argument that they can wear street clothes because they don't have uniforms is absurd. They need to have uniforms. They need to identify themselves. They should not be masked in most situations. These tactics are far too close to third world police state behavior.

I have great fear now that ICE will use these violent threats and acts to double down on their behavior. The intimidation will ramp up further, thuggish behavior will be condoned, justified.

And many of us will support it, even though it is further erosion of our rights, freedoms... and morals.

But we will give that up. And all because we have been brainwashed into thinking that it is justified to blame "criminal illegals" for our problems and that they deserve anything that happens to them.

I still maintain that the vast majority of people from virtually all demographics do not support violence. And the fact that my opinion about that is "in the minority" doesn't change anything. My numbers were sloppy, is all. Should have done my research. It isn't anywhere close to the "99+" figure that I quoted as being peaceful, but still... "concern" is not reality. Your response to me above about with the NCRI did cause me to perform a reality check on my... optimism. But it wasn't really a very good argument overall. And that source was not... the best.

I'm not probably not participating in this thread any more. It has just turned into exactly what the OP desired... a bickering, divisive mess. I was naively hoping to stem some of that, get people to consider that we are all in agreement much more than we are not. But too many jump into these threads just to vent hate and promote an agenda.
