I think it is an age thing. I'd like to know the OPs age. I'm in my 40s, and I detest tattoos for all the reasons mentioned by the OP. Originally Posted by Cpalmson

Your argument, along with the OPs, is chocked full of fallacies.

Art usually appreciates over time.
Body-Art, definitely does not!

Its a personal preference & decision someone makes and Id be willing to bet your opinion means nothing to them. If you don't like it pick another, there's only a kagillion in Texas

Tattooing has been practiced for centuries in many cultures spread throughout the world.

I have none but hold no judgement against those that do. However I'm a whiny baby when it comes to needles (kinda like the OP lol).

Id say if Barbie got one it must be pretty mainstream lol

I'm actually proud to say that I don't have any tattoos. I don't feel the need to ink something permanently on my body.
I used to have a couple of piercings when I was younger until I found out I was allergic to stainless steel and had to take them out and I never got any more since then.
But even if a family member or friend passed away, I don't think I would put his or her name on me.
It's not that I'm scared of needles or can't take the pain.. I just don't think think I would find it attractive or even useful to have my skin inked up. It's attractive on some people.. It looks damn good when it's tasteful and done by the right artist, but just not my thing.
I don't want to be staring down at my wrinkly tattoos 50 years from now.. I've never had the urge to get one (not even when I was drunk LOL) and I probably never will.

I'm sure if you look hard enough, there are plenty of us out there that don't have tattoos. Threads like these never go well though. You're better off just putting an ISO up for tattoo-free providers. Seems to be a really heated topic for some reason. I will admit that a large number of my clients tell me that part of the reason they chose me was the fact that I don't have tattoos, but I'm sure the tattooed lasses hear the opposite reason from many of their clients. Different strokes and all that. Originally Posted by tracibrooks

By show of hands how many guys here have literally put there clothes back on and left the provider standing there naked because she donned a few tats?

One man's trash is a another man's treasure. What you think is trashy others may really appreciate.

Every scar, wrinkle, blemish, and imperfection tells a story of life lived. So does a tatt. So the next time you look at a older person with ink and think, " I wonder do they regret that tatt? Just know it tells a story of a life lived.

Big deal about the tattoos. I always get a chuckle out of these "old fashioned" johns.

Old timers, times change. Tattoos are common in our society now, get use to it, or find a new hobby.

I don't mind the tats obviously, I like my hookers to look like hookers, ijs

I personally don't care for tattoos, but Krista Starr in Vegas you have to admit she is hot with full sleeves and full chest tattoos.
