I was counting Anita. And would be interested in her thoughts on this as a Provider also.

I love how anytime there is a topic up for discussion some of you cannot help but get into a pissing contest when one does not need to be had. Fuck me if I'm wrong but I thought that the ENTIRE purpose of this site was to share information and ideas about the hobby and to try to protect ourselves and each other. Who gives a flying rat's ass about the rest? Some people have FAR too much time on their hands. For the love of Tebow, can't we all just try to get along and stick to the point?

There are at least five forums where warnings can be posted:

Alerts
Reviews
Coed Section
Powder Room
Mens Lounge

The Alert section is already defined and it is just a matter of enforcing it:

Alerts - Upstate New York
Issues which could endanger the safety of a member or members of our community go here. Please reserve this space for legitimate alerts, and not general FYI material.

"Outing" to me means revealing real life information. A BP phone number is not real life information.

The Alerts section should be viewed like the Amber Alert signs on the highway that are turned on when a child abduction is taking place. It is for serious shit.

All the bullshit warning stuff can go into the other four forums depending on the situation.

The Alerts that are hidden are the ones that bother me because there is no check and balance for when the author is lying through his or her teeth. The scenario can go:

A lie goes up. It's hidden from the other gender. A mob forms assuming the lie is a truth. Damage is done to the innocent.

To me that's where there is a need for some development of guidelines. How do you simultaneously encourage a real alert in a private area while safeguarding that lies do not get posted?

That's tough and worth it's own thread.
since there are no actual written guidelines..well i think that as far as alerts are concerned it should happen 3 diff ways...

women alerting on men in general and on this board...report it in the powderroom only..that way we can keep an eye on him and he doesnt resurface under another handle name or number...and then post according to the guidelines there...

men posting on ladies here on the board..post in the alerts..however just her handle or link to her showcase..here..everyone can look up the info she has posted on her showcase..what shouldnt be posted about personal info wont be...

men alerting on bp or other sites..put her workname and her cell number..that way ya'll guys can keep track of the numbers so you can warn others...if she's robbin and scammin..its kinda a trade..

if a lie goes up...about a gent which has in the past..i would think that that man being presenting himself as a gent to ladies everytime..if asked the lady can vouch for him..and ..if a lady is stirring up trouble..usually its found out pretty fast..

With all due respect, Rooster (and i do respect you), in situations where an interpretation of any particular rule is maybe required, i think any guidance should come from up the chain of command, not down it. The members are here to obey the rules, not set them.

I think what rooster is doing is very good though. It surely can't hurrt. He is including US.... The community, in how we would like to see things. It is much better to ask for help then to demand things be done a certain way.

Some feedback from the masses is good. Granted the tards up the chain of command have the final say. But hearing from the masses allows them to consider aspects that they may have not thought of, or ignored as not an issue but it is.

With every alert there should be taint posted to verify its legitimacy.

Unless the guidelines include the ability for the accused to confront the accusations being made, it is hard to imagine there being an adequate check and balance though.

Do the guidelines allow for the accused to know what accusations have been made? Not necessarily by whom they were made, just the accusations themselves?
