I was counting Anita. And would be interested in her thoughts on this as a Provider also. Originally Posted by roosterI hate to break it to you love, provider's opinions don't count in the Upstate NY section.

B]The Alerts that are hidden are the ones that bother me because there is no check and balance for when the author is lying through his or her teeth. [/B] The scenario can go:
A lie goes up. It's hidden from the other gender. A mob forms assuming the lie is a truth. Damage is done to the innocent.
To me that's where there is a need for some development of guidelines. How do you simultaneously encourage a real alert in a private area while safeguarding that lies do not get posted?
That's tough and worth it's own thread. Originally Posted by OccasionalStray

With all due respect, Rooster (and i do respect you), in situations where an interpretation of any particular rule is maybe required, i think any guidance should come from up the chain of command, not down it. The members are here to obey the rules, not set them. Originally Posted by Doove

Time for me to re-think this a bit. I think I have perhaps over-estimated the concern here and over-reacted on the need for some changes. Let me take this down a notch. More to come later, after I have a chance to think this out....

if a lie goes up...about a gent which has in the past..i would think that that man being presenting himself as a gent to ladies everytime..if asked the lady can vouch for him..and ..if a lady is stirring up trouble..usually its found out pretty fast.. Originally Posted by anita germane
