Steelers 2024 thread

... Mark Madden, the radio bloke who got a column in the Trib
just hammered Tomlin and the Steelers for once again LOSING
crucial games in December. ... But as Madden correctly
mentions - the Steelers management and ownership Don't Care.

And THAT'S the problem. ... Already got one sports team that
is rather mediocre playin' baseball and their ownership don't care.

... Why then should the Pittsburgh Fanbase care?? ...

Mark Madden is an absolute buffoon and a disgrace to radio personalities everywhere. He's the King of Zero Accountability. He would have been fired from any other job a long time ago.
Maybe that's because we are not owners or GM's whose job it is to identify the candidates. Originally Posted by Iceman

Huge huge percentage of sportscasters and fan base do not understand the concepts of depth charts. Local sportscasters should know better, but, they get paid to preach to the clueless masses.

Pittsburg had several defensive starters not playing due to injuries.
QB and a WR were out as well, but note that they got 10 points against Spagnuolo's defensive calls.

Gonna cheer for the Ravens (and Dolphins) next games, simply in the hope there's a chance to knock Buffalo out of the #2 seed.

Last, I'll admit the Stealers should do ok against the Bungles.

I agree that they shouldn’t make the SB but Vegas doesn’t. Crazy how much depth they’ve shown!
We’ll see. Cincy winning today makes our game next week big for them. I’ll be watching like I do every damn game! lol

Add the deva wide receivers Tomlin supports to the mix. Dumping Pickett then bringing in two washed up QB’s.
Notice how some wanted Pickett out but make up excuses and give him more chances for Fields.

Mark Madden says it like it is about the Rooneys and the disgrace Pirates owner. What is not factual what he says about both owners.
... Surely DO agree that Madden was on the lark with his
rather keen observation of the sporting team ownerships
here in Pittsburgh, mate.

... And as it's customary with most things, the situations
with the Steelers (and Pirates) are opt to get worse before
they get better. ... Sad - but True. ...

Easy to hate someone who states the truth.

I've seen the Bengals look good in a few games this year, if its a bad day for Pittsburgh, they could easily kick their ass they way they've been playing.

We are home underdogs to the Bungles this Saturday. Looks like Vegas is paying attention.
I personally don’t care much what the outcome is. Pretty sure we go to Baltimore or Texans in the playoffs.
You guys do realize Mark Madden is playing a character on his show. If you've ever met him he is a smart guy and actually does know his shit. Used to play poker with him quite often. He creates a persona to get callers. It's worked for quite awhile which is why they extended his show. He won't be fired unless he wants to be fired.

As for the Steelers,

I was offered free tickets for Saturday and didn't take them. I hope they can beat Cincy but am not banking on it. NFL wants the drama between who gets in them or the Broncos.
