Just this morning on the news they commented on half full stadiums. Yeah it was Kilmeade on Fox and friends but still. They mentioned several games. Granted they were probably shit games not 2 teams at the top but still. I know football is still toward the top of viewership but it's gone down (reports) 10-20%. I really am surprised not more. I myself am a sports nut and I have totally banned the NFL.

Sometimes it seems political zealotry is worse for cognitive thinking than Alzheimers.

Every game I tuned into in the last week, whether it be Sunday, Monday, or Thursday, has near capacity crowds.

This is more the norm for any random game available to watch. Sunday, Monday, Thursday. Makes no difference. The no-shows are mounting every week!

These figures are tickets sold so if someone had a ticket and did not attend the game, he would be counted as attending. Baltimore wins 40-0. Would you still be at the game at the end? Night game. Work tomorrow.
The one thing you said that is true -- "Nobody gives a shit anymore." The fans don't care about whether or not one or two guys are kneeling during the playing of the national anthem. They are going to the game.
Just got my latest issue of TV Guide.America's Most Watched shows for the week of Nov. 20-26:
#1 Sunday Night Football
#2 Thursday Night Football
#7 Monday Night Football
#10 Football Night in America
Have to agree that NFL games are taking a beating in the ratings (sarcasm). Only 4 of the top 10 prime time shows.
BTW -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell just signed a 5-year contract extension worth about $40 million a year. I guess that the owners think he is a positive force in that position. And he has continuously supported the protesters.

And if the same analysis was done form 2015-2016 you would see a greater drop off in viewership than from 2016-2017. Before all the kneeling controversy.
And the drop in ratings for the NFL is irrelevant when you look at those numbers alone. Ratings for ALL TV shows are down over the last 2 years. Like I said, the NFL ratings were #1, #2, #7, and #10 for late November. 4 shows, all in the top 10 shows watched. I've been watching weekly ratings all season and every week the NFL games are in the top 10 prime time shows watched.
I saw this one on TV. Still way too many empty seats. I saw the pre-game show too. The casting call failed... Miserably. It's like they threw a party and nobody showed. It was pretty pathetic...
A friend of mine on FB asked for a simple pole. Since the NFL protest and Trump calling for a boycott, what are your viewing habits on the NFL. Total boycott? Cut down viewing? No change. Out of 64 replies there were only 11 no change. There were 29 total boycott, and 24 cut way down. Most saying they watch the Cowboys or Steelers or whoever their team is and that’s all. Screw the other games. You libs just don’t want to believe it.
