NFL and Houston Texans Superthread: Are we ready for some football?

So if free agent Bradford follows Chip Kelly to San Francisco, is there a chance they will put Kaepernick on the market? If so, would the alleged quarterback whisperer in Houston want him? Originally Posted by O'Mike

The Texans will go after someone young who can sit and learn. This Patriot's...urrr Texan's offense at ain't easy.

KC +5 @ NE

GB +7 @ AZ

SEA +2.5 @ CAR

PITT +6.5 @ DEN

While I cringe aat giving the Steelers that many points....that offense isn't near as potent with AB out. DeAngelo out, too....and a banged up Big Ben......Denver might throb Pitt this weekend.

The other AFC matchup is also very interesting....KC has won 11 straight and has won 6 of those games by 14 or more points. Betting against Brady at Gillette seems foolish....but he's also dealing with a banged up offense. I see Pats winning, but barely.....I'm tempted to take the Chiefs and those five pts....

Lastly, I think the Pack is in trouble. Arizona is not Washington.....and the Cards might just blow Green Bay out by halftime.

I've no thoughts on Hawks-Panthers. Lucky Seattle shouldn't even be in this game for gawd sakes.

They need to pick up a veteran starter.

Who y'all got to win the AFC/NFC Championship Games and the Super Bowl??

My predictions are:
AFC - Patriots over the Broncos
NFC - Panthers over the Cardinals

Super Bowl - Panthers @ Patriots. Panthers win. I think this is simply Cam's year.

It's little early to tell yet but potentially:

Drew Brees - already said he is not going anywhere
Colin Kaepernick - terrible accuracy, bad decisions
RG III - washed up
Zach Mettenberger - had never won. NFL game
EJ Manuel - below average
Peyton Manning - 1 year at best left
Sam Bradford - below average

One more game to win. Hope Son-of-Bum gets a chance to participate in the SuperBowl.

Top tier QB's FA's are Rivers, Manning and Bradford. I'd take Rivers or Manning but it's gonna cost. The one thing that Smith does well is structure contracts that don't get the team in trouble. He'd have to be creative as hell to pull one of those guys in. Pull that off and find some talent in the upcoming draft and Smith turns his reputation around. I don't have any confidence he can do it.
Bradford is a dink and dunk passer and I'm not certain that he's a leader. Not what the Texans need, at all.

One thing that scares the hell out of me is that Hasselbeck is a UFA. I won't be surprised to see the Texans make a run at him.

I like that pick BIG L. I forgot about him. 6'6" and can run. Originally Posted by DarthMaul
