Now I know I'm falling for a provider. But I don't know what to do.

You should see a doctor.

Go see a counselor or Psychiatrist ASAP. You need some perspective. Although you have been given decent basic advice here, this isn't the place to find it.

Firstly, she doesn't make me feel I'm loved or wanted. But she told me I'm her real good friend Originally Posted by badbanana

I assume you do have a "vocation" in order to afford all of the things you're doing for her, yes? I (also) suspect you meant "vacation", too, hmmm?

That said, if it's the latter....then a resounding HELL YES!!!! Book yourself a trip asap and get away from Everything for a week or so.....do whatever is necessary to start the process of clearing your head.

Then......go see a licensed therapist / counselor once you return. The fee(s) for seeing a professional for whatever given amount of time will be so much less than what your "girl friend" will end up bilking you out of.

In closing....I for one think the O/P is just putting us on.....he's getting a month-and-a-half jump on April Fool's Day and is simply stringing everyone along (ie: look at all the Views / Replies he's created on this thread already. Some people just want / need a little attention, that's all......)

In the end, I know that my mind is not working normally.......this is the first time in my life I feel that dream is better than reality.

Maybe I need a vocation.

But seriously, do I need to see a doctor? Is this a mental disease? Originally Posted by badbanana

Thanks Luke. But you know, I'm not a person who is easily into illusion. I'm not saying that she likes me. But I'm pretty sure I like her and I'd rather do anything for her.... Originally Posted by badbanana

Remember my advice about being wise rather than smart? That still stands.

Take this from someone over twice your age, this will end up in a world of hurt. For you for sure. For her, perhaps. Sometimes the best help you can give is not to be too involved.

I understand your feelings, and they are noble feelings. Nothing wrong with treating a young girl like a human being and have empathy for her situation. You are confusing empathy with some kind of love. Take the advice of this old fart: In the end it will hurt.

You must be a good guy. But you need to be wise.

Best of luck man.

Dude, Please watch the movie, Body Heat, before you do this -- especially the speech by Mickey Rourke's character to his lawyer. But I'm with Ringo, you're gonna do this. And I hope you're just a chump and not really, truly in love. The former is a crash-and-burn situation, from which you might recover; the latter can cause permanent damage. What about you take a vacation from each other for, say, one month? Who knows, you might meet another lucky provider love interest in between.
let me save you thousands of dollars in counseling fees...run away, far, far away.
