Hopefully the easing of the border restrictions hold and everyone can get up there and enjoy themselves. While I still believe Niagara Falls is a great option and close by as well as Toronto I would highly recommend Ottawa. Beautiful city and great providers. Luckily on this trip I was able to enjoy all three.
