You did get an answer before, but you chose to ignore it. There are many likely reasons they haven't tested a bomb yet. At this point they are reportedly 3 months away if they choose to proceed. Here is the answer I gave you in another thread:No, they're not. They would be much more dangerous as an ACTUAL nuclear state, if you're going to make a distinction between the two. Why is now not a good time to 'cross the threshold'? I thought they were run by crazy theocrat thugs. What do they care about the right time? It seems like anytime they could take out Israel would be the right time, yes? As for Saudi Arabia, it's been known for quite some time that if Iran got the bomb, Pakistan would give them one, since it's been mostly Saudi money funding the Pakistani nuclear program. This is not news. And I thought Saudi Arabia was an ally? Why would them having a bomb concern you?
Iran is what is called a “threshold nuclear state”. They have the capability in place but haven't started making bombs (as far as we know). They are biding their time while trying to get the sanctions lifted. Now isn't a good time to cross the threshold. What is your point anyway? Why do you keep making a big deal out of this? They are just as dangerous as a threshold nuclear state. Otherwise we wouldn't be talking to them. The tragic truth of the matter is we should not have let their program advance this far in the first place. When the day comes that we can no longer pretend it is not a huge threat to world peace and stability, it will be much harder for us to take it out.

They aren't three months away from a bomb. They are three months away from POSSIBLY having enough raw material for ONE bomb. So let's get that straight. They would then still have to produce the bomb as well as a delivery device. They are two years out at least.
