First of all let me thank the OP for his post. As mentioned this is an information sharing site and those of you that seem to have an issue with his post are part of the problem.

I have been at this game for around 35 years. I have seen women all over the US, Canada, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean. In all of that time and all of the places, I have been stood up or ghosted maybe a handful of times. Now I do my research which is the most important part. But every time it has happened, it has been in Rochester.

Now I have seen some great providers in Rochester and do not want to get them caught up in what I am about to say. But the vast majority, probably 98% of the providers here, are garbage. Looks, rates, locations, and services provided are 3rd tier at best. Basically street walkers posing as escorts. If that is your thing, no problem. Aint knocking it. But let's not get confused about the actual talent here.

As far as ghosting and getting stood up. If you put up with it then you are part of the problem. If a girl has an issue, emergency, or something comes up, things happen. It's life. But do not allow it to be the norm. One chance and move on. If there is no notice, ghosts, or make me wait more than 10 mins, move on to the next.

If they can get away with making you wait, they will. If they can get away with robbing you, they will. If they can get away with terrible service, they will. Whatever they can get away with and still get your money, they will.

Rochester for me has pretty much become an AMP scene for me. Even that here is 3rd rate AMP's. But still better than the alternative.

My holiday wish is that those of you who do not know any better or have not been able to experience anything outside of Rochester get that opportunity in the New Year. The only downside is that once you do, you will realize what a dump and wasteland this city is for this hobby.

You sound like me (I haven't been as many places as you; but - for a time - I was extremely active; and even had a "rating scale" named in my honor) :P

And then, I realized, all my reviews and trip reports did was show I was more willing to spend $$$$ than someone else. So, I stepped back a lot.


But, after taking off a long while for COVID, I returned; and I was shocked. I don't think it's JUST Rochester (but, damn, it's not great there, for sure).



All around, the lack of "giving a shit" is prevalent. I met a lady on Long Island; afterwards, I sent a quick text -- "nice meeting you." - I usually will send a quick message after. 99% of the time, you get back a "Hey, you too" or a "Come see me again!" or any sort of exchange. Nothing this time. And the guys on the board were like, "yeah; you're out of your mind for expecting that."


And, yet, pre-Covid, that was the norm for me, yeah.


But, that's definitely not just a Rochester thing. It's everywhere now

I use Rochester as that is where my home is. But I probably should have said Upstate or Western NY.

As for it being everywhere I would have to respectfully disagree. Again I can only speak about where I travel but it is not like this everywhere. Again I tend to do my research/homework but I do not experience this in the places I go. NYC, Philly, Wilmington, Miami, Tampa, Vegas, Raleigh, Dallas, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and some others. There for business and pleasure multiple times throughout the year. Hot women, clean hygiene, great service, clean locations (although I do outcalls mostly), and rates that are all better than the streetwalkers around here get.
