they are not liable for him killing others. he made that choice
if we start backtracking what led to what, we'd end up with his grandmother in jail, right?(for having his mom,. who birthed him, so really its his grandmothers fault those people died!)

My position is that if a defense of what is essentially being a "spoiled brat" is going to be available to the "spoiled brat" then the people who created the 'spoiled brat" (and who probably paid for the "spoiled brats" defense/legal fees BTW) should be legally vicariously liable for the "spoiled brats" actions visited upon the general public ....
.. much like a provider of alcohol is responsible for "creating" the drunk!
There are sufficient scenarios in criminal and civil law to justify it.
Although I do realize that the "popular" shift in this country seems to be away from requiring parents to be responsible for their children and toward the "government" and "rich people" to make sure that the damages and killings by little urchins are prevented and/or "covered" financially.
I hope you are not one "of those" who believe it's the government's responsibility!
