P411's new policies and pricing changes to enforce said policies... Good, bad, indifferent?

I have said this many times before and I will say it again.... If a provider does not have a valid P411 account - I WILL NOT see her....

It's too bad that you can't see the details of what is on the menu any longer...but it is what it is..
I've been on P411 for multiple years, and until recently never even looked at the ad page... Once you exclude and favor all the ladies you would or wouldn't see, you don't have to check all that often for visiting or new listings.
Just tried to repost an ad in my home city advertising for the coming week... and got a message saying that it may take up to 48 hours to be approved... and it had my point total in the message. :/

I'm guessing the new 5 point home town ads system has started... The points aren't a big deal, just hope it doesn't take two days to post.

Time to readjust my posting schedule to fit the new procedure and get them up when I need them to be.

It was 5 points years ago. After a discussion posted on this site it went to 10 points. Now, it's back down to 5 points???

No, I don't believe the four of us are wrong or crazy.. Originally Posted by lexilove

Funny thing is, I didn't see anyone complaining about the 500% increase that time!!! lol

Gina, for okays, (yes I could ask on P411 but I'm here right now) are updated Okays allowed? And shouldn't the ladies get additional points for it? It would seem fair, though I'm not sure how you could prove another date occurred...

We can update okays by request, but we do not get points for doing so.

All I can do is assure you that none of the providers complaining are being put in the poor house because of the $20/mo, completely optional, visiting ads on P411.

Remember, the providers' P411 accounts and Home Listings are totally free. It's only the providers who like to post a whole bunch of ads in a whole bunch of cities (because it was so cheap) who will now have to start taking into consideration the cost of the ad before they post somewhere they probably wouldn't end up going any way.

Now, that the ad board has been retired, how does this change anyone's view?
Checking over the site after this morning's change it looks like the visiting ad option is still available for 20 points. Gina, is the ad option still there and just bumps your profile over to the visiting city for the time period you purchase it without the ad board option? Or, is that function totally gone also? If, at the moment, it is completely gone, going with the first option seems like a good compromise that doesn't involve a lot of man hours in screening.

Losing the ad board doesn't change my opinion of P411 at all. The reason P411 can't have an ad board is the same reason cities here can't have a short notice availability thread...whores can't follow rules. That's not P411's fault, it the hooker's fault...so I blame them, not P411.

I find it odd how, no matter what the original topic of a thread may be, it always devolves into speaking negatively of the providers.

I never posed the question of why anything was done, or whose fault anyone thought it might be. I asked if it would change the perception of the product and, potentially, its use by clients, both male and female. It was a business model question. (I realize these are hard for some people...)

The site was changed based on a law change, the ripple caused other changes... PEOPLE do not necessarily follow rules properly, not just providers. This site is a perfect example. If the effect of the rule change had been the same for the guys, the result would have been the exactly same.

Now, back to the question posed this morning... Does the removal of the ad board negate the point system at all, or does the option to purchase the 20 point "visiting" status bump the profile over to that city for the length of the purchased time period?

As stated above, Gina is probably the only one who can answer this, since we can not see the male half of the site and the resulting profile changes.

I actually miss when p411 actually showed what stuff the provider was willing to accommodate. It made it 100% easier when selecting someone, especially when there are some providers who get offended simply by asking them.
