Providers that basically don't screen

I am reading this thread and my jaw is on the floor!! I am one of those new, stupid girls that is NOT screening! A client told me on IM this morning about a girl that got busted...her neighbors got suspicious and called LE and they did an investigation on her! I was spooked and came to read some of the message boards and I found this one. I feel like a total idiot for not knowing about screening and not doing it for the past year! I have never had any problems, so I figured I was fine...big DUH!

I'm on P411 as well, but I have never taken the time to figure it out. I am now! I have received emails from men I have seen asking if I will be a reference for them, and I always say yes happily. Honestly.. Amanda doesn't give a howto on screening.
You're better off checking out the link I just sent you via pm AND buying Amanda's book (Great if you're new).

I have both of Amanda's book and it does not offer screening advice anywhere in it. There is advice about marketing'/branding, whether or not to get into this work and other things and that's about it. Again, No screening info.

When did Book 3 come out and where is it for sale exactly? I'm looking at that link you posted and I don't see a tab for Book 3.

I hope Book 3 (whenever it comes out) does have screening info. It would help a lot of girls out for sure.

wow, I had no idea those handbooks were in existance! I want!

When I first started out, I was lucky enough to find a nice hobbiest on BP very early on who directed me to ASPD and P411, from there I only visited with gentlemen from P411 with at least two 'OKs'. It was over a year later that I started taking none P411 members, and about 6 months after that did I start seeing newbies.

I am very thankful I was only new and dumb for about a 2 week period before I was helped and directed to the right place. That is the risk you run when you do not have anyone to help you out. Each time I see a new lady pop up in oklahoma, I don't hesitate to introduce myself and offer to help. I hope most seasoned ladies are doing this! It really does keep us all safe!

By the way, Naomi, I'm totally digging the thread you posted that has a bunch of threads and sites listed about references.

I had a guy a couple weeks back who I'm pretty sure tried to fake a reference through Yoko of Dallas. She didn't think she'd ever seen him. Now I want to go back and providerbuzz him for trying to pull a fast one.

You have to be careful being new. When the guys know that you're new or "sorta new" they WILL try to pull a fast one. Thank goodness no none tried that with me. ProviderBuzz and Dangerzone411 is where you should post the alerts.

Sounds like it might be the $25-30 you might ever spend in this business.

Even though a provider may be verified on ECCIE, I still find it quite disconcerting when a provider's sole method of screening is to ask me via text if I'm LE.

I was once one of those girls, too! I worked BP and CL solely and did not do much screening. I was lucky for the first year.... but I also was in a small city where busts only happened once every other year or so. The first time through a LARGE city (and I picked the wrong damn city!), I had begun screening, asked for his references, but did not wait until the girls called me back.... and I was sooooo sorry I didn't!

Since then, I have asked other providers how they screen, read and re-read posts on how to screen, and did a lil research on my own. Needless to say, EC and P411 are new, GREAT friends in my search! I have called other providers for refs and they have called me for refs.... Thank goodness everyone I have talked to thus far have been wonderful and helpful... But there are a couple of providers I will NOT take a reference from for personal reasons... Not EVERY provider has helpful intentions!

I suppose I can say my experience has made me ultra 'noid.... i have turned down many clients I'm sure would have been perfecly fine... but safety and staying safe for my family and kiddos is top priority now!!!
