FEMA Scandal

I asked in a earlier post that the MAGA folks on here lay off of the nonsense BEFORE the disaster that was yet to come in Florida. Could they do it? NO.

I don't have the energy to call out the people repeating these lies individually. But some of you are so desperate to criticize the Democrats in any possible way, that you will literally repeat information that is hurting people. Amazing.

It is really fucking sad that FEMA has to waste time and resources countering disinformation.

The people affected by these disasters have been fucked over enough. They don't need these lies making things worse for them.

I don’t have answers to your questions but I can say these incidents you referenced aren’t indicative of any kind of bias or overall deficiency in the government response.

People have interpersonal issues all the time and because the complainants are private individuals we only have their side of the story and the news articles are written in such a way as to push an anti government agenda.

I think if there was an actual issue we’d be hearing more about it. The shitty part is that because Trump and his cronies started lying about it people will tend to overlook actual problems because they will attribute it to bullshit lies rather than truth. I think real issues will be addressed eventually but there might be a delay that could adversely affect the speed of the response.
