we need another social

I am trying to plan one but am having a hard time finding a location. The last place has gotten too expensive and the previous place has closed.

I've been to two get togethers in Houston and I assure you that your realization isn't real. Originally Posted by Ansley

Much better were the old-school socials that were never advertised in public, had a very selective guest list, and were actually about socializing, as opposed to marketing. They were fun, enabled folks to get to know each other well, and had essentially no risk for the parties involved. Originally Posted by blowpop

I would like to attend if my schedule permits. Please keep me post.

It will be a poker social. The only way you will know it happened is when I post results.

And then it's just a matter of time before someone does something stupid.. Originally Posted by blowpop

Socials still going strong in Austin and San Antonio if y'all want to see how they work.

Always happy to host visitors and travelers.

Holding a big hobby social looks like a PITA and is a huge security risk. Unless the organizer knows everyone personally (and I mean personally, as in Real Life, not via the board) it's trivial for someone uninvited to sneak in. Super Bowl Party

Food and drinking along with multiple 100 square pools with different levels of participation from $10 to $100 (or whatever).

There would be plenty of winnwes and plenty of "After-Party" action for the winners.

I am sure that ther are members here who can come up with sophisticated ways to come up with variations both legal and fun.

Maybe we should ask Magica..... ah, fuck it.
You stopped going/getting invites when they seized giving out free "hummers". Originally Posted by Dorian Gray
