simple fix...
1. flat tax on everyone and everything.
2. define the word "income" properly, because you can only be taxed on your "income" and
3. if you have a problem with people making too little money due to corporate greed, the same greed that helps you pay your bills and allows you to get what you want out of this hobby, then get out of this hobby and give the rest of your money, oer what it simpl;y takes you to survive, to anyone you see on the street who asks for it or in a market with food stamps. Hell if you were actually to believe half the shit you spew on on here there is no way you would be on this board, you wouldnt' be able to afford this hobby due to your elaborate philanthropy.

Me i support single moms, I go to strip clubs. (ITS A JOKE)

In all seriousness, this time of year, we do owe it to ourselves to maybe reflect a bit on how good we all have it. The fact that we are on this board, basically giving up our $$ for something we "morally" shouldn't be, when so many are truly hurting. Maybe its just a way of justifying ourselves, but maybe a little extra tip to your ATF isn't such a bad thing this time of year. just my $.02

One minute the people who run out of UE are counted, the next minute they are not. Hard to make sense of it when not everyone is looking at it the same. We have to compare apples to apples.

What gets spun is all the other stuff. Quality of the jobs, whether the number goes up or down because of dormant people becoming active job seekers (or active job seekers just giving up and going dormant)...those sorts of items.

just igive money to my local church and charities and go to food banks and donate my time whenever ican.
I never forget where or what i came from.
I know that people out there are hurting and need govt assistance, is thier fraud of course, but like i said theres corporate fraud too and the rich not paying taxes on income they earn and instead hiding it in hedge funds.
so i say god bless all and try and help your neighbor instead of worrying if they are on govt assistance or not.
try and understand them and maybe then they can understand your point of view.
peace.
and you all should read post 62, very well put, well done.

Lets see if I can rephrase my stance so it suits everyone.

I will not rest until all people (rich, poor and everyone in between) pay their fair share in taxes and are not a burden on society. No dead beats and no tax evaders.

note part: Where do the statistics come from?

The basic concepts involved in identifying the employed and unemployed are quite simple:
  • People with jobs are employed.
  • People who are jobless, looking for jobs, and available for work are unemployed.
  • People who are neither employed nor unemployed are not in the labor force.
