I Won't Be Watching The NFL If This Keeps Up...

I just spent 3 hours being tortured again by watching the Cowboys. I don't know why I do that to myself. They give me hope, and then they yank it away. As of the last 25 years, I should know better but I can't help myself.

It was only political in pregame and NBC got away from that quickly once the game started.

Jerry seems hell bent to way overpay the Dakster. he's not worth 35 million a year, not even close. he turned down a deal earlier this year that was 5 years because he wanted a 4 year deal so he could test free agency sooner. okay .. lol.

I disagree about Jerry wanting to overpay Dak. There is a reason why they cannot come to an agreement on a long term contract. Dak is not Mahomes or Watson. He's not going to get the $40M/year like he wants. Those guys deserve it. Dak does not. Dak is a good QB, but he is what he is and should be compensated accordingly and not like an elite QB like he desires. I say just give him his 4 years and get it done and renegotiate later.

MM, that was my 1st thought after the game was over because I think the Eagles are the only threat to win that bad division.

NBC Sports' Chris Simms in May claimed Prescott had turned down a five-year offer from Dallas that would have paid him $35 million per year (which at the time would have tied Russell Wilson's league-high average salary), but both Prescott's agent and the Cowboys said that report was false.

of course both side denied it. the best thing for the cowgirls is have Dak put up bad numbers so they don't waste money on this guy.

Dak should be compensated like Wentz and Goff in his draft class. I believe that is $32.5M per year for them. That's market value now for a good but not great QB. Having said that, with all of the weapons he has now and if he doesn't produce, it's time to look elsewhere for a QB. You don't overpay for a consistent 9-7 season.

Yep. But the salary cap is going to be lowered next season because of the loss of stadium revenue this season. Jerry makes a killing off of his stadium revenue.

I have a family member who is so fucking obsessed with the Cowboys that she paid to have a brick with her name on it outside of the stadium and during every halftime, she buys stupid shit at the stores in Jerry world.

She has money to burn, but it's hard to not look at someone funny when they buy a leather Cowboys jacket for an obscene amount of money... it was actually kind of embarrassing to be seen with her wearing all of that tacky Cowboys crap.

I was at the gym like I am every Sunday watching the games while working out. Then the Vikings had some big "remember George Floyd" memorial that they replayed during the game. Really? Remember a 3 time loser criminal? I've seen the video and partially understand the outrage but that's the guy "you want to circle the wagons around?" Seriously? The guy moved up from Texas ten years ago to run away from the law? The guy that was driving a $70K car, had several drug habits and only means of income was a part time bouncer job? The guy that a major section of the city was burned down or rioted out because?

Ridiculous. I left. I couldn't breath.
