Please list/mention Obama's Accomplishments

I usually go to the source whenever possible, and confirm with multiple sources if I can. One has to learn to read through the bias in any information. Also, just because something might be biased doesn't necessarily make it incorrect. I don't post things I can't verify with other sources, but I read ALOT and I am one of those nitpickity fuckers that likes details. I think this whole "biased" news thing originates from Fox.........There's a very good article here if you want to learn all about Fox News and how they operate. Is it "biased"? Most definitely. As a U.S. Senator, Obama introduced the "Higher Education Opportunity Through Pell Grant Expansion Act". This legislation was written to help offset the increases in college tuition and would have increased the maximum Pell Grant amount from $4,050 to $5100 in 2006/2007. It never made it to a vote, but Pell Grants were increased by $500 a year through the ARRA (stimulus) in 2009. Also included in the ARRA was an increased tuition tax credit.

Our friend Gfe here excluded, anyone else who has kids attending college should be able to appreciate the value of this.

Here's another one previously mentioned by Kimberly. And this one is a goodie! Republican's have ignored the issue of equal pay for years. Obama had champoined the bill as a Senator, but it was defeated by Senate Republicans citing, "the possibility of frivolous lawsuits". Not sure what's so "frivolous" about lawsuits involving a woman being paid much less than a man for doing the same job. Then again, I've never really understood what they're beef is with equal rights in general.

Senators will usually vote present when there are elements of a bill that they like, but elements that do not like and can't support. It's fairly common practice.

I'm a little surprised though that F-Sharp would link the Rolling Stone in a discussion about factual reporting. Less than a year ago it was shown that their sensationalist reporting that got General McChrystal sacked turned out to be not 100% factually correct and he was cleared.
The New York times has been caught time and again with their writers downright MAKING UP or fabricating parts of stories.
Fox news is no different than any other news service/corporation. Keith Olberman got caught violating an NBC News policy by donating to three political campaigns. Kind of a conflict of interest when you're a paid Political commentator don't you think?

In the last 24 hours no less than FIVE different news outlets and the Unites States Vice President himself referred to the Tea Party as "Terrorists". So because five different liberal news outlets and the VP write and say it then it's true? If Republicans called Democrats "terrorists" we'd never hear the end of it. After the Gifford shooting Obama and MSNBC stated they would tone down the rhetoric. Guess calling the tea party "terrorists" is their idea of toning things down?
Big Tex, I don't believe everything I hear on Fox news, just as I don't believe everything I hear on MSNBC, CNN, ABC etc. I've seen first hand how these organizations gather their "facts" and it's usually third party and often through foreign nationals (when it comes to reporting on overseas events) so that by the time it reaches the U.S. consumer, accuracy and facts are usually woefully absent.
But you keep on believing that FOX is the villain and trust your news "sources".
And although this isn't Obama's doing, you would think he'd have a talk with Biden about the below. Just sayin'!
