[QUOTE=AustinBusinessTraveler;6 0147]Personally, I disagree with all of Seekers posts (well, at least the 4 identical ones). I wouldn't target a woman run agency, I would find an agency that you feel comfortable with. I've dealt with both male and female owned agencies... and I've seen good and bad in both. Find a company that truly is interested in your well being and is willing to work with you. Also, make sure they bring something to the table for you beyond answering the phones.

Sorry for the multiple posts. I'm not sure why that happened. Yes there are reputable male own agencies. But overall you are more likely to avoid the pimp factor if it's run by women.
Why would anyone ever use a agency? I don't get it. That is like buying retail when you have a lot of good options to buy wholesale?

There is truly no correlation between retail and wholesale when talking about these ladies and it's somewhat degrading to say there is.

As for why would anyone use an agency? Here's my list (with my caveat that I am extremely selective in agencies and only deal with quality operations):

1 - Better TCB Assuming the agency is run as a business and not just a hobby (many of them are hobbies so that the guys can get plenty of free sessions along the way) the process for booking is usually smoother.

2 - Easier to book. I don't have to spend the day making calls to track down someone. I say I am interested in an appointment at a certain time and they say whom is available. Conversely, I can say whom I'd like to see and they can give me a choice of dates and times. When I call an independent I have to coordinate with each one and hope one of them comes through.

3 - Quality Control. This sounds technical but it isn't. If I have a terrible experience, I can call someone and without going into details with the agency I can explain my dissatisfaction and have it corrected.

4 - Choice. I find it easier and the difference in cost is irrelevant to me. I would rather save my time and research efforts for things that make me money. When it comes to enjoying myself, I'll spend the extra funds to make my life easier... and hence, more enjoyable.

I've been operating an agency in Austin since August 2008, having come here from doing a similar thing in New York, and when I began in Austin what I encountered were several profound differences between the practices of agency operators here as opposed to back east.

Principally, no one in New York off the street level "interviews" or plays at all with the girls they work with - and that's a given there. When I started here I operated the same way, and continue to do so, but learned quickly from others that I was probably alone in that respect. I can easily understand why any girl would be suspicious, to say the least, of any prospective partner in this thing whose first [or eventual] goal in their relationship is to get into her pants.

For what it's worth I work with several girls who came to me as independents [and one who remains so] because they found they could obtain more work by affiliating with an agency, and it was less work for them. Having the advertising, locations, screening and such done for them allowed them to focus ENTIRELY on their servicing of the client, and then when the appointment is done to go back to their lives. I don't think though that any of these girls would have chosen to work with me if they had at any point been the target of physical or emotional interest by myself.

AustinBusinessTraveller makes some very good points in the preceding post.

I did not use agencies for a long time when I started to hobby, but there are definite
benefits to using them. Many of those benefits are outlined in ABT's post. Now most of my hobbying is done thru agencies/co-ops.
