"I had 12 officers on the scene, and 11 of them performed according to their training," Conley added.

I checked back in after months, just for grins, and if anything this so called "Political Forum" is worse that before. It is now the "Ad-Hominem Attack Forum" because there is no political discussion going on here at all. Take my advice, quit poking the bears and flinging your poop at the chimps (unless you do it for fun just to enrage them). I left and haven't missed it for a minute.

To you moderates and progressives trying to reason with the rabid dregs of the right, George Carlin had some sage advice, “Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.”

Apparently the officer wasn't quite as noble as he was portrayed. Interesting.

If you can do it purely for sport and to see what the far fringe of the far right fringe comes up with for info, facts and argument, then go for it. Otherwise, stay far, far away.

In any case I fully accept his apology and the fact that two suicidal incidents stressed him to the point of snapping. He's probably not a bad guy overall, but "he ain't no saint' to paraphrase Megan Kelly (and every righty pundit who wants to justify the murder or beating of an unarmed person). I think he should be forgiven and pending appropriate counseling, therapy, apologies, rest, training and community service should be given a shot on rejoining the force. It isn't his fault that we have at least three problems right now - police, justice and racial - that combine to make these types of incidents epidemic.
