Kamala Harris Makes it Official

one metric I note that signals fear in the Republicans?

they refuse to use Beto's name properly.. it is not Bay-toe, like most on the right say.. it is Beto, phonetically like get-oh.

mispronouncing one's name is an old tool utilized for centuries, to denigrate and show disrespect to an Individual.. a rather cheap move. if you disagree with the Man's policy objectives or stance, fine, but mispronouncing his name only shows you in a bad light. Originally Posted by Chung Tran

You are absolutely correct, Chung Tran. I've seen it done most often whenever pronouncing someone's name wrong supposedly deflects from the fact that the argument that person is bringing to the table doesn't have enough merit to stand on its own legs, so they either mispronounce or even make up a similar name to the subject, like Pussolini or some such juvenile drivel. People who do this usually don't have the mental capacity to formulate a valid and reasonable counter argument. Have a nice day. Originally Posted by Lapdog

Robert Francis O'Rourke was either given or chose to use the Spanish nickname "Beto" because he grew up in El Paso and his first name is Robert.

You did correctly describe the way he pronounces his own name. It's a little comical, the guy's using a Spanish nickname but he doesn't pronounce it correctly.

The Mexican American Democrats and independents I know say "bay-toe," accent on the first syllable.

My criticism is non partisan. I only used the one example who so happens to be a Democrat. You should work on your reading comprehension more. Have a nice day. Originally Posted by Lapdog

"condescension"

It's usually displayed by the Socialist-Liberals who do so in an attempt to intimidate and/or marginalize those who they fear. It's also used by the Socialist-Liberals in lieu of intelligence.
who cares how you pronounce it, it's really not his name, and more important, "He Lost"
