Ironically, it's the people that take care of themselves that are using up the Medicare money. You should be angry at the joggers and the vegetarians.

We should let people die with diginity. Dr Korvorkian should be a viaible option to those so inclined. Were it there own dime they were spending and their kids inheirtance people would think more about this option.

I've seen how it works. My own father went that way.

its our moral obligation to make a human lie in a hospital bed for weeks or months suffering while his/her family are being bankrupted by hospital bills ..

oh

I cant think of anything more manly than placing a huge financial burden on my kids and making them struggle for years just to pay their bills ... especially since the disease that has me in a hospital is going to kill me anyway

IMO the quality of life trumps the quanity of life.

Flame away. Just making a case that people need to grow up and be responsible for their actions. (Not judging, just examining cause and effect.)

some health failures happen regardless of care taken

ALS, brain tumors, cancers ... etc
Hmmm, haven't seen this issue in a while, are the Democrats or Republicans against it? I don't want to be a bad little sheeple until I know which way I should lean...

dont lean

problem solved
Most diseases are preventable (by ingesting chemical-free water, food, and air). Als is only 10% genetic predisposition (but by definition, the phenotype responsible for said disease can be modified by the environmental conditions).
Maybe you would like to do away with the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (2008) and we should just kill those who are disabled, too?
