NFL and Houston Texans Superthread: Are we ready for some football?

3. Zeke the Magnificent? Any RB with an O line like that will be putting up them numbers. Demarco? Originally Posted by Fishpie

Imagine Barry Sanders behind that line and Emmitt in Detroit...Emmitt wouldn't be the all time leading rusher that's for sure

He led that team to the TD against a Steeler team at home, to that last minute TD and he looked like a seasoned vet in doing so! Originally Posted by Solemate62

1. They have the easiest schedule in the league. They haven't played anyone solid nor will they until the play offs. Originally Posted by Fishpie

On another note, sorry your vaunted Steel Curtain looks more like Tin Foil this year, DED. I'd have never thought to live long enuff to see 30 points not stand up for the home team at Heinz Stadium. Still....it's such a crap division; y'all may still win it by default :/ ....once in the playoffs, anything can happen. Hell, the Texans might even win a game for that matter (not).....

Well with the Patriots losing at home against the Seahawks(good game) the Cowboys have the best record in the NFL at 8-1. I think their toughest opponent will be the Giants. And they have to go to the Meadowlands to play them this time.

This is one of those bullshit .500 seasons where every team is questionable for the play offs, you got a couple teams that are outshining the rest, and a couple teams you question why they are even still playing this deep into the season.

I heard Mexican N.F.L. fans may boo when our National Anthem is played in Mexico City when the Texans play on Monday night in response to our newly elected president? What do you all think about that?

Nothing new. Why is this shit even news?

If anything I can see an upset this weekend with Baltimore (@ Dallas). Other than that, I'm sure Garrett will rest the starters for the final two games if everything for the play offs is locked up for them. Originally Posted by Fishpie

Problem with that, four days later (after what promises to be a very physical game) Washington (5-3-1) rolls into town.....goes without saying, divisional games are always a grind and usually come down to who makes a play or two in the fourth quarter.

The Giants (6-3)on the other hand have a cake walk the next two weeks (Chicago...then Cleveland). If Dallas slips up (for whatever reasons), they could easily find themselves tied for the divisional lead this time next week. And in a dogfight till the end of the season.

***Notes
Baltimore: #1 in total defense (281 ypg)
#1 vs the run (71 ypg)
The Ravens DT duo of Williams (340 lbs) and Pierce (339 lbs) are a load and a half. This tandem anchors a defense that is giving up only 3.3 ypc (rushing)....and 2.5 ypc when both are on the field together. The Dallas O-line has their biggest challenge of the year this weekend.

On the flipside, Baltimore's running game is one of the worst (28th) in the NFL....and Dallas is ranked 3rd (rushing defense).

Simply put, both quarterbacks, Flacco and Prescott, are going to need to make plays if either of their respective teams are to prevail.

Key injuries aside to either team, I see Dallas winning a squeaker, 20-16.

Carr must feel great, defeating the team that, in effect, determined he was not good enough to be their QB!
Texans got robbed all night long...

Refs butt fucked the Texans good. Carr was way better than Brock. Brick should have had three interceptions. And it appears the Texans have no long pass game, everything to tight ends. Working so far until a team takes that away

Brock is really just a game manager. 5.6 yards per pass..I think Savage could do better on the long passes.
