NFL and Houston Texans Superthread: Are we ready for some football?

I guess the weather helped the defense somewhat......at least up to the 4th quarter.

They simply can't fuck with Aaron Rodgers.

Loss predicted 21-13(same score in the loss to the Chargers last week)

Three losses in a row now......
So tired of the mediocre Texans. 6-6. 500 ball. Maybe playoffs. Shitty draft pick. Shitty gm. Houston Texans = irrelevant since their inception.

Tough to swallow.

Look at the bright side, we're still better than the Browns.

Aaron Rodgers was just too much for the Texans defense to handle.

Spoke too soon Solemate. Don't underestimate Carr in the 4th. It's his strongest quarter.

Don't forget about Mack Truck. As long as McNair is the owner we're just going to be scraping by.

Oak -3 turned out good lol

I have been a long suffering raiders fan and put up with a crazy owner in Al Davis with poor drafts because he was the gm . I bleed silver and black and raider nation finally has a franchise qb . That being said the problem with the Texans starts and ends with the owner . If the owner won't get rid of the gm for poor results they will always struggle to be relevant. Al Davis would draft athletes and not football players and over paid old free agents cause he wanted a super bowl but the game past him bye . So Texan fans are going to have to put up with average football until the owner realizes that he has the wrong person running his team .

Brian Smith with the Chron Tweeted out today that Bob McNair thinks that Brock is playing just fine. This in a nutshell is why the Texans will never get better. The owner can't tell when players are playing bad.

That's sad

I don't think the Texans current state of play is the GM's fault. On paper, he's put together a pretty good group of players. The coaching staff has to take the players they've been given and turn them into a team, come with a winning game plan, properly groom the star players, etc. You're never going to get perfect players. If you did, anyone could be a coach. Not every good/great assistant or college coach can make the transition to a pro head coach.

Oh, and then the players have to execute.
Brock does not look effective but the O line sucks Chinese Nuts!!!

Fuck McNuttless!!

Fuck Rick Smith!!!

This season is going nowhere with this band of fucktards!! Like I have said before, even if we win the shitty division, it just gives us a home playoff beat down like KC did to us last year.

The Playoff Picture If Started Now looks like this:

NFC:
1. Dallas
2. Seattle
3. Detroit
4. Atlanta
5. NY Giants
6. Tampa Bay

AFC(getting real interesting):
1. Oakland
2. New England
3. Baltimore
4. Houston(this shit is gonna change. If the Colts beat the Jets tonight, there will be a three-way tie for first place in this weak ass division)
5. Kansas City
6. Denver

What's crazy is this. Miami And Pittsburgh both got better records than Houston at 7-5. But since Baltimore beat them both they have the edge and lead the division.

Texans remaining schedule:
At Colts
Jaguars
Bengals
At Titans

At this point, the only team they're more likely to beat is the Jaguars. They're not winning out. Whoever predicted them to be 9-7 or 8-8 you've pretty much nailed it.

If they wind up winning the division and have to play Denver or KC here, it's a fucking wrap. Both those teams OWN the Texans now.
