NFL and Houston Texans Superthread: Are we ready for some football?

Houston fans can take some comfort in this: I just watched the sorry ass Jets in that debacle of a game in prime time. I know you guys would have preferred that Indy lost and me too. As a native boy from the Empire state, I truly am mortified that one of my teams (Giants too) looked like a huge sack of dog shit for everyone to see. Point? No matter how anemic your Texans may look at times, take solace in the knowledge that teams like the Jets are out there and they are infinitely worse in all aspects of the game, from ownership to coach to players to locker room attendants and on it goes. My last hope? That the Giants beat the Cowgirls in that vital matchup!

So Texans fans are to be glad there team isn't as bad as the Jets or Browns? That's not much to go on. At least those teams will have good draft picks for next season.

Clowney has been doing great this year! Certainly is showing why he was worth a number one pick based on his play this year alone. He is getting better and better every year.

Yes. He missed his first game this year against the Packers. I do not know if he will be ready to go against the Colts. The Texans really need him in a very important game against the Colts. The houstontexans.com web page has him listed as "active". There is also an article on the Texans web page stating his status is "questionable" against the Colts. He has an elbow / wrist injury.

Don't know why Colts were underdogs when Luck was cleared to play. Taking them paid well but that garbage time TD at the end killed my under on a parlay.

Dallas looks to be in line to avenge that lost from Week 1 against the Giants. NYG have been skating by majority of the season until Pitt put a stop to that. Godfather Jones said they won't be resting the starters in the final weeks. Depends on whether they play full or partial games in that stretch will factor in their first round playoff lost.

Indy and the Titans could be looking to knock the Texans out so those games will be important to the division. Jax is still the red headed step child. Cincy should be an even less than usual mediocre threat.

Is it safe to speculate that it won't be that juggernaut of a running attack of the Giants that's gonna be the deciding factor? (ranked 31st NFL / 77.5 ypg)....a whopping 56 yds rushing vs Pittsburgh last week btw....nice job. But, hey, 24 targeted passes between OBJ and Shepard will more than off-set that minor little issue, right. Oh, wait...the Steelers held all of that fab production to a 14 points for NY in a loss....

Dallas, on the other hand, is 2nd in the NFL in rushing the football (155.8 ypg; 20 tds vs 5 for the Giants, per the run).

Should be fun, right :/...as I said, we'll see in a cpl of days how this all works out.

KC is 26th in rushing, 21st in passing, and Oakland is 7th in Rushing, and 8th in passing. Did you see the final score?

Seriously though, NYG aren't going to win.

And Carr looked like his older brother wore off on him.

Prevail with 2nd place in that game.

Don't have me confused for one of those Cowgirl deniers. Giants have been skating by. Dallas just happens to be riding a hot streak. Don't worry, Dallas is this season's Carolina Panthers except Dallas ain't going far in the play offs. They're lucky that even if NYG was to win it won't ding them the way the lost to Oakland did. Went from 1st to 5th real fast.

All solid points...but not aware Raiders fell that much, must mean in the overall AFC seeding of the teams!
