I suppose that makes this particular dated thread somewhat of a milestone event.

I first requested a confirming link to MLK actually stating that he "opposed illegal immigration" less than 30 minutes after Trendy's initial post.

I have asked essentially the same question ... dozens ... if not hundreds ... of times since.

Regretfully, there is "still" no confirming link provided by Trendy stating those were MLK's actual words.

And ... what makes it worse?

There has been no apology (either directly or indirectly) from TrendingIdiot for having misquoted Martin Luther King Jr.

There has been quite a bit of speculation and even more innuendo, but no actual quotes from MLK himself.

Bottom line: One full year later, Trendy has yet to confirm the statement he specifically made the following statement in the OP:
