NFL and Houston Texans Superthread: Are we ready for some football?

It's doubtful that any quarterback from Tech would do well in a NFL system. Someone might take a flyer on Mahomes in the back half of the draft. Originally Posted by pyramider

There was an interview with Bob McNair today and McClain and Brian Smith have been tweeting part and he sounds like a total dumb ass. It appears the BoB is coaching for his job this year

Hey guys, aint no QB worth a shit gonna be there at number 25. They need to draft for O line, Linebacker, cornerback, and running back depth. Take a flyer on an accurate passer in the third round as a project and just go with the two assholes you have.

That's the best they can do, also fire Rick Smith, but we all know that will never happen

The Texans will have to shore up the O line if they expect to get Romo when he gets released. All of those years behind a shitty cowbitch line left him the fragile china doll we see today.
Oh well Texans...

Romo's getting released but he's going into broadcasting LOL!!!

i think the report saying that he 'will retire' doesnt mean he actually has done it yet. supposedly hes getting released by the cowboys today which teams can still go and talk to him before he officially sends his letter to roger goodell.

And primarily in the 4th quarter.....

...when it became necessary for the Cowboys to be in the hurry up offense, fighting the clock, and having to throw the ball to come from behind. In that case, as it was many times, Romo became a sitting duck for blitzing defenses and pass-rushing DE specialists who tee'd off on him becuz....

....becuz Romo chose to stay in the pocket and hang onto the ball a tick or two longer to buy time for his receivers to break free.

How many times over his career did we see Romo check down and throw a safe 5 to 7 yard pass to Witten (becuz Miles Austin, Terrell Owens, Patrick Crayton, Terry Glenn, Dez Bryant, etc, etc couldn't get separation from the DB)? When big plays and field position were needed, Tony took chances and (in the long run) those things cost him his health.

The Texans have no one but themselves to blame for this mess. In 2014 they had the first pick of the second round and both Derrick Carr and Jimmy G were available and instead they took 'Filo who has turned out to be a bust. They are now pinning their hopes on Tom Savage who over the last 7 years has played exactly one year of college ball and a game and a half of pro ball. He has shown so little he had barely been mentioned until now. As for the draft none are really that great and the two decent ones will be long gone by the time the Texans draft.

Let's do a quick review:

Rick drafts Su a Filo instead of D Carr or Jimmy G
Rick overpays for Brock
Rick ditches Brock and a high draft choice to early so Jerry fucks him
Rick loses the best corner AJ Bouye
Rick still has dick in hand and thumb up ass
McNuttless says Rick is awesome!!
Daddio cancels season tickets and tells McNutless via email to eat a fat cock!!

The reality of the situation is your season ticket means absolutely nothing.
