NFL and Houston Texans Superthread: Are we ready for some football?

I just read on my phone there's an issue with the Hopkins trade and Johnson hasn't passed his complete physical.

Well the Texans traded for a WR from the Rams. Has a big contract and injury issues. So now our top three WRs are injury prone. They are about to use up their cap space and have no first round picks for this year and next and BoB acts as if this is all a Grand Plan. The other wanna be GM Jack Easterby use to be the team Chaplin and now makes important football decisions. The team is doomed.

Maybe they can pray their way into the playoffs

I had Brandin Cooks on my FFT last year. He's concussion prone. And a bench warmer waiting to happen.

Maybe a shut down will be a blessing.

I fault o'Brien only for not getting a first round pick out of someone and not making tunsil sign a reasonable contract extension before handing out two first round picks, like in the 15-17 million dollar range. The deal with jadeveon Clowney I accept because he's in no man's land now with his thoughts on his value and reality. Teams don't win paying receivers 20 million dollars, it's been proven. The quarterback gets paid, of course left tackle and then you paid a rusher if you are lucky enough to have one worthy of serious money. I personally don't believe watt is worth his pay anymore but let's face it he is so embedded in this community by his great deeds that it would be a cardinal sin to trade or release him. So the synopsis is you cannot pay tunsil, watt, Deshaun and hopkins. Very simple,all teams have a pretty firm salary cap they must operate on. I think this team will fair about the same or maybe even better.

A couple days ago some people wrote articles that Kap 1) Deserved to be back in the league 2) The he was "black balled" by the NFL and 3) Seattle coach said Kap deserved to be a starter but it would interfere with Russell Wilson.

So...why aren't the Texans stepping up? They have a system that suits Kap.

I never really thought about it, but if BoB did get canned in the next two (2) years; who would you want to replace him?

On another note, Texan PSL ticket holders don't have to buy season tickets this years. Things are looking grim.

Looks like MLB is running into problems with their modified schedule. NBA is not yet running into COVID issues.

The NFL should try running 4-8 modified NBA bubbles. Or 32 NBA bubbles, one for each team. Too many opportunities for exposure letting the players, coaches, team personnel running around. A mask isn't a very good preventative.

Generally, I think all the players who came on the last part of the season will have a good year. The rookie WRs will have a hard time establishing a pro relationship with QBs. Thinks some of these rookies RBs who stepped into starter roles, one of them will have a breakout season.
