Let's discuss guns for a quick second

I don't understand your trolling of me but let me oblige you for a minute. As I stated earlier that gun is my preferred carry pistol for the reason you stated. Light weight. I'm not trying to kill someone or go looking for trouble. Simply trying to protect myself when threatened and threats are within close proximity. Anything more than close proximity isn't a threat to me. For the home and for possibilities if all hell breaks loose there are a whole range of weapons I have for that.

Again I don't like guns, they are simply a necessity and I have acquired quite a few for that necessity. So going back to my original statement that's what I carry with me. To say I like guns, I'll never. They are a necessity. We want to talk about firepower I posses enough guns and bullets to survive in chaos; which is coming Originally Posted by Foxtrotdancer

But here we are and you wonder why you are being trolled.
Just go away. I never seen any one person try so hard to push himself where he is not wanted.
I suggest you find a really good therapist and seek help and stay away from guns. They are not for you.

Getting back to guns, easily included in that discussion is holsters.

What actually do you carry your spare handheld in?

Here's a recent addition for my hunter that has growled at coyotes more than a couple times.

I have the premium (longer-more body protection) version XL size for the hunter. He takes his herding thing seriously.

So what's my point?
Here's the matching weapon holster

Of course it attaches. Or just get the pack attachments. Both available in Coyote grey. Having the hunter arrive with a spare, or a couple handfuls of cartridges is kind of neat.

Last, of course the harness is available in small for those of very small stature who try to brag about whatnot.

You know you have diplomatic immunity here so you say whatever you want to me whilst I have to walk on eggshells with my responses. That's not a fair conversation and you know that so why just not respond at all to me. You are the definition of cyber stalking

Sorry UC, I find your holster a little..................errr.. ...smallish. Try this one.

I’ve shot a .22 and 380, I love going to the gun range it’s so fun

I’m only scared of the big guns that have a kick scared to shoot them

Never shot a 9mm

Only a wankster doesn’t like guns. Aka Crazy democrat Originally Posted by Cendell M

Something with a 3 inch to 3.2 inch barrel is good. Round count will vary depending on who you ask

But if the pistol is not comfortable in your hands you won't carry it.

As for me I have a few EDC's I rotate around

Sig P365 (basic model)
Ruger Max 9 w/redi-dot optical
Stoeger STR9-C

Been looking around for a solid holster for my Ruger Security 9 with its laser designator. (tons of holsters out but add a light or laser or a combo and you go from 1000 to 13)

My Home defense pistol is a S&W SD9VE with a laser/light combo.

Why I like lasers over optics (can't put a laser on the Max 9, no under barrel rail) is you dial it in for 10-12 yards so you that sweet spot. You DON'T need to look down the sites.. rather put the dot ON them and they get the general idea where a bullet is going to go.

It sort of calms them down and changes things.

Mikey,
Nice pic.
My younger clones critter, same as your pic but black, we had several harnesses for him.
The most impressive were the swim flotation, and also the back of pickup truck safety harness.
He used to stand up in back of the pickup, head over the roof, face the oncoming wind and growl at it.

GhostRider, check out a local gun show for that holster (Premiere or High Caliber, not HGCA). There are usually at least one company set up and making custom holsters. They can mold you whatever you need while you wait. Triple T holsters makes good bespoke stuff and they are in Kemah, I've been to their shop. I have a buddy who went to Humble and got a custom leather holster from Texas Custom Leather, looks good. Hopefully one of those options will fit your needs.

UC I hate to see dogs unsecured in back of pickups, too many on the side of the road dead. Glad you guys harness it.

As far as EDC, check out the FN Reflex. It has one of the best out of the box triggers I have seen on a factory production gun (and while it looks striker fired, it's got a hammer). Lots of folks like the HellCat as well. Those SIG 365s have a strong following and a solid reputation.

But yeah.. a 22 with say 10+ rounds you can mag dump a creep and your wrist won't feel it.
