The one that bugs me a bit is the one dealing with doctors snitching on their nutty patients. The docs are not gonna go for that, but I suppose that's tough shit. I believe they have a similar responsibility to report the breakout of an infectious disease that could possibly become epidemic. This is the same thing in my book.

Assuming the head and brain are totally intact, a pathologist performing an autopsy of a schizophrenic subject would notice the schizophrenic brain has a significant loss of gray matter compared to a normal brain as much as 25% less. The ventricles of a schizophrenic brain are much larger and contain more fluid than the normal brain. Because of these significant physical traits of the Schizophrenic Brain, Schizophrenia is not only a Mental Illness but a Brain Disease as well. Well thats true. Abnormal growths such as tumors in and around the brain can have a profound affect on brain activity and behavior. But in the case of Schizophrenia the abnormalities of the brain are actually apparent at birth even if symptoms manifest themselves later on. Due to the subject matter of this thread, I'll say this, a person who suffers with Schizophrenia is no more inclined to walk through the Hall ways of a school or a Shopping Mall discharging a Firearm than a seemingly normal person would. But we have to put causation on incidents such as mass shootings, so we label the active shooter as Mentally Ill. We do this in a sense to seperate this type of behavior from the rest of the population. In some cases the active shooter is mentally ill, but not in all cases. I wouldn't even say 50% of the time.
