There are factors and variables that we know and don't know at work when we talk about rates in the hobby. Some girls' rates don't have anything to do with market forces, going wages for <whatever>, business plan, or anything logical.
Bottom line is that the girls have a price of entry for the same reason why you wouldn't suck dick for less than $xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. If it agrees with you, great. If not, don't see her. But for Pete's sake, do not agree to one term and change the agreement mid or post meeting. Shorting someone is bad form in the hobby or any business deal.
Don't get me wrong, I have and will point out that the rates in Austin are a bit out of line from other nearby cities, but that's a different discussion than the comparisons laid out here.

BUT, how many providers will admit that they would do this type of work for less? If the hobbyist was their type will she charge less? If she likes that a hobbyist takes her to dinner and shopping, would she charge less? I doubt it. The price of entry, currently, is what she thinks she can get out off the mark, or what her friends (or WK) tells her she ought to charge.
If the roles were reversed it is hard to say what to charge. Men are dick driven and would do FS for a fraction of what the women would (IMO). Then the price goes higher as the attraction level drops (for some). If she was not good looking she would get charged more. The service doesn't change, the amount of time doesn't change, it is completely subjective as to how price is determined. So instead of a flat rate for time, why isn't there a pricing system based on level of attraction? (I spend too much time at work looking at numbers).
So can someone tell me why is it 200/hr vs 100/hr again?
