As I keep saying -- relying on one poll at one specific time is ridiculous. I find it funny when a poll comes out showing Trump with a low approval rating all Trump supporters discount polls. When a single poll shows Trump doing better, those same Trump supporters are all over it.
If you take the time to read the WHOLE poll:
44% approve of Trump
51% approve of the economy. Why so low if the economy is so great?
42% approve of taxes. Again why so low? I thought everyone benefited from the tax reform.
40% approve of Trump's performance on immigration and foreign policy.
Only 38% approve of his performance on health care, which happens to be the #1 issue on the minds of voters. Not good.
36% approval on gun violence
32% on abortion
32% approval on issues important to women.
According to FOX News:
"Trump's approval rating hits highest point of presidency, but still struggles in match-up against Dems"
In a head-to-head match-up against Trump, former Vice President Joe Biden fairs the best – beating Trump 55 to 41, with Sens. Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders all snagging 51 percent to Trump’s 43, 44 and 45 percent respectively. Trump would tie “a Socialist” candidate, with each getting 46 percent of the vote.
