I don't like those either? I'm OK with repealing those.
The I think the parking thing is a bit more nuanced though. I wouldn't drop all of it, would have to look at the whole thing.

Like the time I was going 140 mph between Sonora and Del Rio and got stopped by the Sheriff in Val Verde County. The MF's put me in the slammer for the weekend. Admittedly though it probably didn't help when Deputy Hernandez asked me where I was going in a hurry, and I said "Boystown in Ciudad Acuna, I want to get there before your mother's been fucked by every Tom, Dick and Harry in Coahuila and South Texas." It was Friday and that's a big night for whoring in Cuna.
Anyway, the mask mandate wasn't punitive. Nobody went to jail because of it. I doubt there were many people who ended up paying the fine, let alone a large enough fine to cause a financial hardship. Its primary effect was to make people more responsible, more likely to mask up, because the governor and the legal system were encouraging them to do so. And it's my belief the mask mandate saved thousands of lives in Texas, many more than the speeding or drunk driving laws will have saved in 2020 and 2021.
