How to post a photo in a thread

I'm trying to add a photo for my user name when I post in forums or at least have a picture for the profile. Also how do I make a signature line that will appear after every thing I say?

Using an iPhone in the past I had no issue posting photos going to the advance option. But now it all says invalid ??
How do I resize a photo on iPhone can I just shrink it? I tried that but nothing seems to work. I do all my posting from a iPad What can I do with out using another site ?

There are a number apps available that will give you the ability to resize pictures on your phone/tablet. Also, you should be able to use the settings in your camera app to set the size of the pictures it takes.

Ok I can crop. Resize etc. but every time I try to post it now say incorrect file extension ????
What am I doing wrong ???
