BBW and rates

So many opinions here have resonated. I'm glad this was posted. I'm a BBW and have worked in Chicago and then DC (both considered "hotspots" for providers) and it can be discouraging to say the least.

Your location matters. Sometimes the local averages matter.

However in my 3 years in this business, I've realized that branding is more important. Especially as a niche provider. Investing in pictures, updating them several times a year, a strong social media presence, and a quality website are key to this. I realize this is an investment not everyone can afford to make (I'm in the process of a major re-branding now and it's going to run me several thousand dollars) but it is definitely worth it and will pay off in the long run, no matter your size.

Also, I wanted to remind folks, hobbyists pay for access to people and bodies that they wouldn't normally have the opportunity to meet, for a plethora of reasons. Let's be honest, with the social and racial disparities in this country, how likely is it that I, a 20 something, black, grad student from the Southside of Chicago would be in the same place as a 40+ white, engineer from Vermont if it weren't for the hobby? For that reason alone there is room for women of all backgrounds and types here. So many of my clients have only dated spinners and petite women publicly, while suppressing their desire for BBWs.

Darlin', you should never assume that you know as much as ya think ya know. If it makes ya feel any better, it doesn't make me a happy camper to know that I'm right about you. It's just kinda.....well.....sad..... Work on those changes I mentioned...ya never know. Change can be really great! No one is un-redeemable, hon.....not even you.

If it doesn't bother you what others think of you, why so defensive? ijs

If I got paid to be a drama king, I'd be filthy rich...as it is, I get paid to tell the truth, so I'm moderately wealthy...

I know more about humanity than you give me credit for. People are not required to interact with other humans in any way. Compassion and kindness are not requirements of any human interaction...and arrogance isn't something that indicates someone isn't a human...

I also realize that what other humans think of me is irrelevant, a concept that most humans can't grasp. My opinions are my opinions, and no one can disagree with me on them. It cracks me up when people see my opinions about my personal standards and call me a prick, or a cheapskate, or unintelligent...because what has happened is that person has taken my opinions, applied their completely arbitrary standards to it, and then discounted mine...as if theirs are somehow better.

The fact is, as I've said before, that there is a standard of beauty here in this country, and being fat isn't it. If you assume that people in this business are going to pay for beauty, then you won't be able to charge as much as other women. Since I know that the hobby is full of guys who refuse to see beautiful women because of their own self esteem issues, they'll be happy to pay your rate, whatever it is.

In other words, as I said back on page 1, charge what you want, some idiot will pay to fuck you...you'll just have a lot of competition in Houston, since it's chock full of fat hookers already... Originally Posted by Wakeup

There is a standard of social beauty but not of social behaviors? No, sorry. Not at the societal level. Never has been and never will be. If you would like to classify your 'beauty standard' as your opinion under your argument stated above then you are free to do so. And, as you proffered above, we may not argue.

But if you claim a societal standard of beauty then you must accept a societal standard of human interaction. Put simply, a mode I'm quite sure you prefer, if you claim there is a 'right way' to look then there must also be a right way to act.

It's in all the books. You remember those, don't you?

I won't ever change for others...I'll only change because I want to...that's something else that stands out about your attitude. You don't like my opinions, so you want me to change to be more like you...why? I respect opinions that are different than mine...why do you assume that anyone who has an opinion different than you is "not human"?

Seems like you're the problem...not me.

Well, as a BBW woman I do very well for myself. I made $500 in 2 hours today off of repeat customers. I drive a brand new car and live in a nice house where I pay all the bills. Not bad for a fat girl!!

its a weird concept for you to get I know. for you to assume only guys with low self esteem see BBW's is ridiculous ..

Her problem in Raleigh is probably BP imo.
I've had no problem working and doing pretty good in Raleigh at my rates just not from messing around with BP there.
BP is great some places but never had luck with it in the Carolinas.

My former friend is a BBW posting on Backpage in the Raleigh/Durham area. She's been charging $40 for her services...and has been in the hobby for longer than me. Really sad that some BBW's have resorted to cheapening themselves in order to get business. I've had guys not want to pay my advertised rate after meeting me in person, saying that I was too big...but yet my weight, height and measurements were clearly posted in the ad.

A few people here on ECCIE gave me great advice not too long ago and I have taken it to heart. I won't go low just to get a client. If I saw a client for $80 and word got out about it....then everyone else would want to pay me $80 for an hour...and that's never going to happen.

And what about the guys who say a BBW's rates is "too high"? Since when is $100 high? One client tried to give me $30 after I spent TWO HOURS with him. Another supposed BBW admirer asked me after a session if he could pay me with PayPal...um NO!

I'm not complaining, just stating my experiences. I've learned from them and will not lower my rates to satisfy a few people who don't want to pay a high quality BBW provider what she's worth. Originally Posted by XoticSynn

BTW over the years i have had lots of less than good encounters with ''Hot spinner types'' and only one with a BBW type
