Been handling guns since I was in elemtary school. Have been taught gun safety for half a century. Never even came close to having a mishap. But have never feared for intruders into my private residence either. All of my family are quite adept at handling guns. We all practice and know the potential for devastation (mainly because we all use them in hunting and see the result of a well placed shot on an animal and know what the potential is for humans)
