I have non-native friends who feel this way, so I would say that yes, it is a legitimate concerns for a lot of people.

I am originally from the Caribbean and moved up here as a kid because the crime in Trinidad to extremely high for business owners. We went through the legal process, and after years of paying a lawyer we eventually got permanent status. I work hard, I pay taxes, i don't do anything that is considered a felony, i surround my self with people like me, who uphold the law and at the end of the night I NEVER worry about being deported because I am doing what right.

I have many friends that are Hispanic or Middle Eastern that came up here the same way and they feel exactly like I do.

Sure there are some people getting "inconvenienced" because of where they are coming from but I prefer that than the alternative... having open boarders where the same fucking people that ran us out of our own country can come in and committ the same crime. The majority of people that are being sent home are felons, or people that are undocumented with fake paperwork. I can't feel sorry for them.

Do shit correctly and then you don't have to look over your shoulder 24/7.
