What happened to the early birds?

Early appointments are a GREAT way too start a day, with the right lady. The problem I run into is that at 8:00 at night when providers run that EARLY BIRD ad, it doesn't seem quite as good an idea to them when the alarm goes off early in the morning. My last 2 early attempts after hour long drives were "rescheduled" after their alarm didn't go off. Could give a guy a complex.

This is the exact same excuse I got on my last early bird attempt, and exactly why I'm not requesting early any more. It's just way too easy to make an excuse and fall back to sleep. Especially when they know they've got two other appointments scheduled for later in the day.
