If a provider requires a $20 deposit it looks kinda sketchy bc it indicates a high no show rate and poor screening. I have no doubt that even the best providers have been stood up but $20 down tends to lend itself to drama Originally Posted by FunMondayHeh... If you think deposits are weird or have anything to do with a provider's lack of screening, you couldn't be more wrong. And you would not try on a new suit only to shit in the pants. That would be very flaky
Even a "verified" and veteran hobbyists can provide a false address or cancel last minute while you're already on the freeway just for shits and giggles. Doesn't mean a provider should waste her time and gas money/Uber fare for no reason. You don't go to a bank and get a debit card without first paying $25 to have an account opened. You don't go to a TMobile and ask for a Galaxy S10 and a line without first paying $100-300 to get it started. You can't drive a BMW off the lot with $0 down claiming you're gonna pay in 30days. You have deposits for everything for a reason.
It's definitely stupid to rip someone off for $20 when you could've gotten to $200 but hey not all providers are smart lol.
Just send the deposit next time through PayPal as goods &services so if something flaky happens you can get a refund. It's simple. Originally Posted by kushella

I for one am considering to start charging deposits myself because I get guys there call and text me from Monday all the way until Thursday and then the day of the appointment Friday they choose to cancel because of some meeting or something came up or something with the family this is a business do you think it’s fair that I block my schedule out for a particular client only for them the schedule and I get nothing in return that’s bad for business.
If a guy no shows, blast them, blacklist them, by all means put it out there that they are a time waster.
To each their own though. Doesn’t bother me, if you require a deposit I’ll move along and go spend time with another beauty.
Plenty of lovely ladies out there to spend time with. Originally Posted by pistol shot
